League of Legends – one of the biggest PC games in history – is finally coming to other mobile and consoles.

Developers Riot Games said they would bring the title to other platforms for the first time ever, making the announcement at its 10th anniversary celebration.

The new game will be called Wild Rift and will come to mobile devices and consoles, Riot said, though it did not specify which consoles exactly it would be launched for.

While the new version of the game has a new name and separate branding, it appears to be the same as the traditional version of League. It will include some shorter games as well as a new control system.

The mobile version of the game will be released in 2020, and players can sign up now through the Google Play Store. No details were given about the console version, including when it would be unveiled.

On desktop, League of Legends continues to be one of the most popular titles in the world, even a decade after it was first launched. Millions of people play the game each day, and its esports competitions are among the biggest in the industry.

Players have been hoping for a mobile version of the game for years.

A variety of other major titles have been ported to mobile gaming, frequently finding success with a slimmed-down and rebranded version of the game. Last week, for instance, Call of Duty launched on mobile and immediately became the fastest-growing mobile game ever.
