Players are under orders not to turn the air blue when League of Ireland games resume tomorrow.
The league’s new streaming service swings into action with at least 55 Premier Division games to be screened between now and the end of the season.
But Mirror Sport has learned that fake crowd noises will not be used, unlike in the Premier League where viewers have the option.
With all games behind-closed-doors for the foreseeable future, players' voices will be clearly heard throughout the matches.
And that is why players, managers and coaches at all of the top flight clubs have been warned to keep the swearing in check.
PFAI chief Stephen McGuinness said: “We have spoken to the players about this and they will have to be more conscious than normal.
“Things get said on a football pitch in the heat of battle, but ordinarily it is brushed aside and not picked up by fans or viewers at home.
“But with the new streaming service, every game will be shown and there won’t be any background noise used.
“That means every little sound is going to be carried into people’s living rooms all around the country and we just want players to be aware of that.
“It doesn’t matter whether they are responding to a rival player, a referee or assistant referee or the opposition bench.
“We don’t want something said in the heat of the moment becoming a bigger story than the match itself.”
