A 'League of Ireland fan' who went viral almost a decade ago has opened up on the infamous video.
The footage of the supposed St Patrick's Athletic fan, which has over a million views on YouTube and several thousands more on social media down the years, has become one of the league's most enduring memes.
The man, who described himself as a Pat's fan, said his favourite player was "the fella in the green and white shirt" - the colours of rivals Shamrock Rovers, reports Dublin Live.
He then offered up the tactical insight of keeping the good men on the bench for next season, and got a bit into politics when he said we shouldn't be supporting "the Queen's football teams" before adding that we should all be following League of Ireland clubs and "of course" Celtic.
And, nearly a decade later, he has come back to the internet to explain himself after being spotted in a Dublin barber shop.
The footage, taken and shared by Twitter user Ross01240, shows the fan getting his trim and talking through his internet fame.
And, shockingly, he revealed he was never a Pat's fan at all!
"I don’t watch football, I’m not going to lie," he said.
"I don’t follow anybody. Pat's is Inchicore. That’s the nearest team, so I just said Pat's, but I didn’t know they wore red and black or whatever."
Immediately, and accidentally, proving that to be true, he described Pat's as red and black, before the lads in the shop laughed that Pat's wore red and white.
Red and black, of course, are the colours of another one of Pat's rivals: Bohs.
And the fan laughed: "See what I mean, I don’t know!
"I just said the fella in the green and white… but it backfired on me!"
