Leading with video delivery – leading with flexible learning

Capturing gladiatorial re-enactment, lifting the bonnet of the Queen's State limousine, handling Captain Scott's snow goggles, or dismantling a rooftop weather station - how can we provide access to such unique, inaccessible resources in a safe and secure way for London Schools?

At the London Grid for Learning we use the latest video delivery technology to provide anytime, anywhere access to a host of media-rich resources. New high quality video delivery to any form of internet connected device reflects the increasing use of mobile learning and is recognised as being key to meeting the needs and opportunities of London's learners.

With an ever increasing range of content development partners ranging from The Royal Collection, the Metropolitan Police and the Scott Polar Research Institute to the Siobhan Davies Dance Company, LGfL has many unique resources to help London teachers enthuse, inspire and support the learners that represent the next generation.

As our portfolio of online learning resources continues to grow, so does the need to keep pace with teachers and learners needs, regardless of the location of their activities.

With the creation of a new LGfL 2.0 regional fibre network infrastructure, we strive to deliver higher quality, faster and even more resilient secure online services to the 2500 learning institutions that make up the one-million strong LGfL online learning community.
