Second-ranked Port host leaders Buriram United in the Thai League 1 top-of-the-table clash on Sunday
After six games, Buriram have 13 points, two ahead of Port and Chiang Rai United.
Buriram defeated Samut Prakan 2-1 while Port won 2-0 at Chiangmai United with goals from Nelson Bonilla and Go Seul-Ki in midweek.
After a stuttering start to the season under coach Dusit Chalermsan, Port have returned to form and sealed two consecutive wins.
But Dusit, who is in his second stint at Port, is cautious about his team's chance of beating the Thunder Castle.
"It won't be easy as Buriram are strong and current leaders," said Dusit, who guided BG Pathum to their first ever Thai League 1 title last season.
"We must play our game and try to get at least one point."
Their strike force will be lead by Salvadoran Bonilla, who has scored five league goals this term, and Spain's Sergio Suarez.
Buriram will also hope to continue their good run, having won two games in a row.
However, by the time Port and Buriram meet on Sunday, Chiang Rai United may be the new leaders.
Chiang Rai travel to newcomers Nongbua Pitchaya on Saturday, fresh from winning two tough matches at Chonburi and Pathum.
Nongbua must keep a close eye on Chiang Rai striker Bill Rosimar of Brazil, who is currently second in the scoring charts with six goals.
Champions Pathum United are at home to Police Tero and hope to bounce back from their 2-0 setback against Chiang Rai in midweek.
The Rabbits will remain without three key players -- defenders Andres Tunez and Victor Cardozo and striker Diogo Luis Santo.
Teerasil Dangda will lead their attack alongside Chenrop Samphaodi.
Police Tero are in confident mood after upsetting Chonburi for their first win of the season in midweek.
Their key players Isaac Honny, Jenpob Phokee and Teerathep Winothai are available for selection.
Bangkok United face a tricky assignment at Nakhon Ratchasima, who have enjoyed a revival since former Football Association of Thailand president Worawi Makudi became their executive chairman a few weeks ago.
The Swat Cats failed to get a single point early in the season but have been unbeaten and secured eight points since Worawi's arrival.
Bangkok United, on the other hand, could take over the top spot with a win over the Swat Cats.
