The outcome of the Emperor's Cup was still in doubt after the 13th day of the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo on Friday, with four wrestlers tied at 10 wins and three losses and five at 9-4 in the highest makuuchi division.

In the final bout of the day, sekiwake Takakeisho (10-3), the sole leader until Thursday, was defeated by ozeki Goeido (9-4). The ozeki threw down the sekiwake after grasping his upper belt.

In other action, Sekiwake Mitakeumi (10-3) forced No. 6 maegashira Myogiryu (6-5-2) out of the ring to remain one of the tournament leaders.

Ozeki Tochinoshin (6-7), who is facing kadoban status -- meaning he needs a majority of wins to avoid demotion to sekiwake -- forced out No. 5 maegashira Ryuden (6-7), keeping alive the hope that he can maintain his current rank.

Meanwhile, Komusubi Endo (8-5) beat No. 7 maegashira Kotoshogiku (5-8) with an overarm throw, giving him his first kachikoshi eighth victory as a sanyaku -- the highest three ranks below yokozuna.
