Laura Morris, director at Networking Mummies UK Ltd, explains why Victoria Alcock should win the Leader of the Year category of the Guardian Small Business Showcase competition:
Victoria is one of the leaders of our Stratford Upon Avon branch, and the deputy Mayor. She has no qualms in chatting to people and making new opportunities.
At the headquarters, we are busy planning our third annual business award and Victoria has gone out her way to network and sell three sponsorship programs.
She invests a huge amount of time leading the group but also putting all her skills back into Networking Mummies as a whole. She has increased her branch interaction by over 30% and the members have subsequently increased because of her efforts.
She has also spent many hours managing our Twitter account and invests a great deal of time with us, even though she has a family herself. She always goes above what is expected of her.
All entries which meet the competition criteria are published and our judging panel select a shortlist of the top three for each category. Winners are announced at an awards ceremony in summer 2016.
