Over the last year, Hallam Internet’s managing director Susan Hallam rolled out Hallam School. This is an in-house training programme for new recruits that has improved the quality of service we are able to deliver to our clients, and provides professional development opportunities for our consultants.
Susan introduced the Hallam School concept initially to ensure our new team members have the highest quality knowledge and skills to deliver consistently exceptional quality service for our clients.
Taking her experience from senior management roles at Capital One and BT, Susan translated blue chip training into a small business programme called Hallam School.
This five-week long professional development programme is a collaborative digital marketing crash course that is delivered by the whole Hallam team.
It enables existing team members to further develop their own consultative skills in a secure environment, shares Hallam’s technical processes as well as our own values, and most importantly builds a tight knit group of professionals who can count on each either for guidance and support.
Susan’s Hallam School project has led to direct improvements of the quality of service we provide to our clients, and we are proud to now claim a 96% retention rate with our client base.
The Hallam School makes a real difference to the day-to-day working life of the team. In addition to the formal seminars and workshops, she has innovated with the lunch and learn format that stimulates technical thinking and discussion over a casual Friday lunch together.
