I’ve being running my business for 14 years and have been an employer for 10. TRAC now has 20 employees and my first three recruits are still with us.
I see my most important role as inspiring the team and ensuring they feel valued. In the last 12 months I’ve focused on embedding our refreshed values and behaviours and completely reinventing our appraisal process.
I’ve introduced special postcards to recognise when staff display the company values and developed a paperless process for ensuring employee development is aligned with business objectives, called “harmonising ambition”.
I’m committed to ensuring people achieve their personal career progression objectives and create opportunities for them to do this.
TRAC’s vision is to be the best regulatory affairs consultancy in terms of people, service and process. As a consultancy business, I believe we are only as strong as our people, so investing in them and supporting their wellbeing is vital.
I strive to ensure everyone knows what our aims are (quarterly staff briefings and annual update meetings) and their part in achieving them. My drive and focus has seen turnover and profitability (which is shared with employees) grow year-on-year since 2001.
I’m focused on developing a management team to continue this success. And TRAC is recognised as a healthy workplace for our wide-ranging activities to support employee health and wellbeing.
