Michael Lowes, sales and marketing director of The Paperchain Partnership, has driven the business forward with positivity and enthusiasm. He has helped every member of staff understand their personal contribution to the company’s success, leading to a 17% increase in turnover this year.
Michael is an incredibly positive person, someone who thinks nothing of providing his time and energy to support each member of the team. He is a clear communicator, delivering confidence in his plans and motivating the team to work towards the business’s goals.
He has defined his growth plans and the impact for the employees on achieving these targets, in workload, remunerative and future benefits. His plans are available for employees to view at any time, creating a team focus and encouragement factor in our work. Michael has introduced key changes to help engage the team. Our open-book monthly meeting enables all staff to have a voice on the direction of the company. Weekly meetings with each department & cross departmental workshops help staff understand roles and responsibilities.
He has also introduced a role review process to identify gaps within our workforce, leading to increased employment at The Paperchain and better customer experiences. He also identified operational improvements in our warehouse environment, providing significant improvement in efficiencies.
