With over 10 years of experience in senior IT roles, Gary Smith saw a need for an IT services company with a difference. Gary founded Optimising IT as a consultancy business, tapping into his experience and technical knowledge to provide practical and pragmatic guidance to businesses across a range of sectors.
Gary has since grown the business from operating out of a spare room at home to employing eight staff from our head office in Cheltenham, with a 100% increase in turnover from 2013/14 to 2014/15.
The success of Optimising IT has ultimately been down to Gary’s genuine desire to see his customers getting the best value out of the most appropriate IT solutions, allowing them to focus on running their businesses.
Despite being successful in his role as managing director, Gary is certainly not afraid to get involved in the front line of service provision, and this inspires the whole team to join him in delivering the highest levels of service.
In fact, many members of the Optimising IT team are experienced individuals who have made the move across from senior roles elsewhere to join Gary at this exciting startup, knowing that his dedication, professionalism and integrity will ensure its (and their) success.
