Lead Prosecutor Resigns After Judge's Ruling On Trump Case

We have breaking news regarding the recent ruling by Judge Scott McAfee on District Attorney Fonny Willis' involvement in the case prosecuting Donald Trump and his co-defendants for attempting to overturn the 2020 election. Following the ruling, Nathan Wade, the lead prosecutor in the case, has resigned. We have obtained a copy of Wade's resignation letter addressed to District Attorney Fannie Willis.

In his letter, Wade emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and democracy in their prosecution efforts. Despite the court finding that there was no actual conflict of interest on the part of the District Attorney, Wade chose to resign in the interest of democracy and to expedite the case proceedings.

The resignation letter, issued by the Wade Campbell law firm, expresses Wade's pride in the work done for Fannie Willis but acknowledges the necessity of stepping down following Judge McAfee's ruling. The letter concludes with well wishes for the success and safety of the District Attorney's office as they continue with the case.

This development comes after much anticipation since the ruling was announced earlier in the day. With Nathan Wade's resignation, there will be a change in the prosecution team handling the criminal case involving the former president and his associates. The decision to resign reflects Wade's commitment to upholding democratic principles and ensuring the swift progress of the legal proceedings.
