Lea Michele calls her baby a 'true blessing' as she shares first sweet picture

Lea Michele called her baby a "true blessing" as she shared the first ever picture of her little boy.

The Glee star, 33, welcomed her son with husband Zandy Reich on August 20, although they didn't confirm it themselves until last night.

Lea also appeared to confirm the name they'd chosen in her caption.

According to reports, the couple named their child Ever Leo.

Sharing a sweet black and white picture of herself and her husband holding onto their baby's tiny foot, Lea wrote: "ForEver grateful for this true blessing"

The actress disabled comments on the post, perhaps because of the controversy she's been embroiled in recently.

Lea has also updated her Instagram bio since welcoming her first child.

It now reads: "Mama, Actor, Singer + NY Times Best Selling author."

A source told People at the weekend: "Everyone’s happy and healthy, and they're extremely grateful.

"He's been an easy baby so far."

It was back in May when Lea confirmed she was expecting her first child following much speculation on social media.

Lea has had a tough time lately.

She was embroiled in claims that she was a bully and diva backstage at Glee and was then viciously trolled following the death of her former co-star Naya Rivera.

Things got so bad that Lea deleted her Twitter account, but now that she's a mum, it appears she's throwing all of her focus into her family.

Lea, who played Rachel Berry on the hit musical show, met businessman Zandy in July 2017 and they got engaged the following April with a ring he'd designed himself.

The star had previously voiced fears of how having a baby could get in the way of her acting career.

She said in 2018: "I’m still playing roles that are under 21, so I kind of want to push that as long as I can. Having a baby might mess that up for me."

But she didn't let that put her off having a baby when the time felt right.

Lea also once said: "I 100 % [want at least one child]. I come from a very large Italian family, so that’s very important to me."
