Le’Veon Bell wishes Ben Roethlisberger well on Twitter, fans react

On Sunday, New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell took to Twitter with a surprising purpose. The former Pittsburgh Steelers running back went on to wish Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger a speedy recovery. This was in response to a video on the Steelers official Twitter account showing Roethlisberger throwing a football five months after serious elbow surgery.

First off, good on Bell. It would have been simple for Bell to just bypass this news. But despite all the hard feelings when Bell left, he took the time to reach out and wish him well.

But the more interesting part of all this is how the Steelers’ fans in Bell’s replies reacted. There was a time when Steeler Nation couldn’t get Bell out of town fast enough. But at least for one day, they are not too proud to basically beg him to come back.
