If there is one thing I know about Michigan State alumni it’s that they are leaders in almost every field they go into, and that includes the NFL. This weekend, we saw former Spartan QB Kirk Cousins go on the road against Detroit and throw four touchdowns. Today, we saw Le’Veon Bell display another type of leadership. Bell consoled his young quarterback Sam Darnold and imparted some sage advice after the Jets got blown out by the Patriots 33-0.
Darnold finished the game 11-for-32 with 86 yards and, yikes, four interceptions. For what it’s worth, Le’Veon had a solid game, rushing for 70 yards on 15 carries. You can watch Bell explain what he said to Darnold below:
