Le’Veon Bell blasts Jets’ haters after falling to Patriots

Le’Veon Bell is not going to forget any perceived slights made toward him and his team.

Following the Jets’ 30-14 loss to the Patriots on Sunday, the running back retreated to the locker room and opened up Twitter. Just minutes after the defeat, Bell insisted that the 0-3 Jets are embracing the diversity they’re currently facing and that any criticisms of Gang Green will make for bulletin board material moving forward.

One can’t blame Bell for trying to find some sort of source for inspiration given the team’s current state, but the fact of the matter is that there’s just not a lot of positive things to say about the Jets right now. They’re on their third quarterback, have been decimated by injuries, have a secondary and offensive line incapable of doing its job and a coaching staff that continues to raise eyebrows for the wrong reasons.

The offense has scored just one touchdown all season, so what exactly does Bell want to see and hear regarding Gang Green?

The first-year Jets might see the negativity as people hating on his squad, but New York is simply a bad football team right now. There’s really no way around that. If the Jets start to play better, the coverage will change, the complaints will be drowned out and the jokes will cease.

Until then, Bell shouldn’t expect too much praise from fans or the media.
