Le’Veon Bell is highest-rated Jets player in ‘Madden 20’

EA Sports has released its player ratings for the upcoming edition of “Madden 20.”

The Jets didn’t get a high team rating to begin the season. Gang Green will open up the regular season with a 78 overall, including an 80 defensive rating an a 73 offensive rating. Individually, though, some Jets landed some pretty high numbers.

The highest-rated player on the Jets is new running back Le’Veon Bell (92 overall). His best attribute is agility, for which he received a 95. Following Bell, it’s third-year safety Jamal Adams with a 90 overall rating after a monster second season. His speed is his best attribute at 91. Linebacker C.J. Mosley came in at 87 overall, with awareness (91) being his best attribute.

Avery Williamson received a high rating at 85 after his first season with the Jets. Meanwhile, despite a disappointing season last year, Leonard Williams still got an 84 overall rating. Robby Anderson, Kelechi Osemele and Brian Winters all have 82 overall ratings.

The “Madden” makers didn’t think Sam Darnold had such a great rookie season, giving him a 74 overall to start the year. Compared to the quarterbacks of his draft class, he is in the middle of the pack. Baker Mayfield is the highest-rated quarterback of the 2017 draft class at an 83, while Lamar Jackson is the second-highest at 76 overall. Darnold and Josh Allen have the same overall rating, while Josh Rosen sits at 70 overall.

These ratings aren’t set in stone for the entire season, but it’s safe to say the video game underrated New York overall. The offense is a lot better on paper than a 73 rating, and the defense certainly has the potential to be higher than an 80.

Ultimately, it’s on the players to prove to the creators of “Madden” that their overall marks should be higher than the initial ratings.
