Le Méridien Bangkok hosts #LMBKKJourneyTo10 Art Celebration, a month-long exhibition of three art showcases by four distinguished artists, from Wednesday until Jan 19.
The first of these showcases is The Art Of La Dolce Vita, a collection of 13 pictures shot in Europe by Latvians Gita Ozolina and Anete Ilmete, full-time travellers and creators of the blog TheTravelLeaf.com.
This year, they were selected as artists for Le Méridien 's Follow Me video art programme, through which their pictures and videos, shot at various locations throughout Europe, particularly the French Riviera, are featured in Le Méridien Hubs all over the world.
The second art showcase will feature stunning photos taken under the theme "Bangkok Unlocked" by Chutima Treearayapong, also an artist for Follow Me. The theme embraces the hotel's core mission -- to unlock Bangkok as a destination, revealing its mystery and beauty to guests from all over the world in ways that are chic, cosmopolitan, artful and rich in culture and cuisine.
The final art showcase is The Reflections Of I-Jud by Wasinburee Supanichvoraparch, a talented and passionate artist from Ratchaburi determined to upgrade his home province from a somewhat overlooked part of the country to an upcoming art destination.
To make his case, he has created a massive I-Jud sculpture standing three-metres-high, which has been displayed at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center and around Thailand as well as abroad. The piece symbolises an artful journey that leaves lasting impressions on many communities. It will be installed in front of the hotel as an exemplary "Arrival Artwork", the first artwork that greets guests when they arrive at the hotel, setting the tone for their stay or meal.
