Le Cordon Bleu London to host first ever summer food festival

Le Cordon Bleu London has revealed plans to host its first ever summer food festival this month.

The leading culinary school will welcome the likes of Darjeeling Express’s Asma Khan to the inaugural event, which takes places on Saturday June 29.

The festival will include food demonstrations, wine and beverage tastings, and workshops with acclaimed chefs from the UK and further afield.

Internationally-renowned chef Khan will give a demonstration on the day, alongside the likes of Anna Hansen of the Modern Pantry, Ramael Scully of Scully in St James’ Market, Rakesh Nair of Cinnamon Club, Kerth Gumbs of Ormer Mayfair and Robert Ortiz of Lima.

Guests can also get cooking at practical workshops with Le Cordon Bleu alumni, including Taste Lab pastry chef Sarju Ranavaya, Joo Won, head chef at the Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows, and Claridges’ sous chef Olivia Burt.

Elsewhere, a Slow Food market championing organic and free-range ingredients will be in place on the day, as well as a pop-up bookshop. Guests will also be able to embark on tours of the Le Cordon Bleu facilities, which are widely considered some of the best in the world.

Events will take place throughout the day from 10am-6pm. General admission tickets are priced at £5, and include access to all demonstrations. Individual workshop tickets are priced at £25 and include entry to the festival.
