An LBC caller ruthlessly trolled Nigel Farage with a brutally funny phone call.

The Brexit Party leader was convinced he had a born again eurosceptic on his hands.

But he was sorely disappointed when he realised he was the butt of a practical joke.

The caller, who gave his name as Mark, told the former Ukip leader: "I'm immensely grateful to you for everything you've done for British politics in the last few years.

"I used to be an ardent remainer, I voted remain, I believed in the European project, I believed staying in the European Union was the best thing for us.

"And then something happened, something monumental happened and it completely changed my opinion on the whole situation."

An engrossed Nigel Farage asked: "What was that monumental thing Mark?"

To which the caller replied: "I was kicked in the head by a horse."

Realising he'd been had Mr Farage's facial expression quickly changed.

He replied: "Right, very good, ok, fine, thank you."
