The Arizona Cardinals will have to rely on linebacker Dennis Gardeck for at least another week. Starting linebacker Haason Reddick, who has been out following knee surgery, is still out for the team’s third preseason game.
The Cardinals do not play until Saturday morning this week, but Reddick is still not ready to go.
“Haason is still working through that, but he’s come a long way,” said head coach Kliff Kingsbury over the weekend. “Don’t expect him to play this week.”
The Cardinals have been vague about the timeline but have said he will be back for the season opener. Whether that means he will be healthy enough for a full load is a different story. Until then, it means playing time for Gardeck, who has been praised throughout the offseason by coaches.
Reddick likely will not get any preseason action.
