Lazio hit back at fans over Celtic claim and demand best behaviour in Glasgow

Lazio have warned supported to behave in Glasgow next week after revealing they are on a final warning from UEFA.

The Italians face Celtic next week while part of their stadium is shut for the return match in Rome in November.

Lazio have also hit back at fans over the incidents that have led to the Nurva Cord being shut.

Supporters lashed out at UEFA and their own club after the punishment was made and insisted the ban would hand Celtic an advantage because they will be backed by 9,000 fans in Rome.

But the Serie A giants have hit back and have urged their fans to start behaving...starting with their trip to Scotland next week.

Spokesman Arturo Diaconale said: "Unfortunately, the behavior of very few fans - we believe it was around 20 - risks our progress in the Europa League.

"Because of this, we are forced to play Celtic in our own stadium without the support of the Curva Nord.

"Furthermore, if this behaviour continues at our future matches in Europe, we are at serious risk of the entire stadium being closed.

"We only escaped a full ban this time because our president's insistence on zero tolerance in the future.

"We respect our supporters' rights to have political opinions, but it makes no sense to express these in stadiums home or away, especially when it is known that UEFA are monitoring us.

"I appeal for it not to happen again in our future games because it damages Lazio."
