Lazio boss in Celtic dig as Simone Inzaghi refuses to let go of penalty decision

Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi insists a refereeing blunder led to their exit from the Europa League.

Back in November Celtic secured their first-ever win in Italy when Olivier Ntcham scored a last-gasp goal to secure a 2-1 victory and send them through to the next round.

That achievement looks even more impressive now as Lazio have won 13 of their last 15 Serie A games to sit just one point off the top.

Despite that good form though it seems their coach hasn't quite got over the loss to Neil Lennon's men.

Inzaghi said in his press conference before the Inter game: "I think Lazio are deserving of everything we're getting on the pitch.

"Lazio don't talk about referees anymore.

"This year we went out of the Europa League because of a penalty not given against Celtic. It was clear, a handball on a shot by (Ciro) Immobile.

"We went out of the Coppa Italia against Napoli in a manner we could complain about for hours.

"So I think it's right to talk about the present, the league table, and tomorrow's match."
