Planning on who Arsenal may or may not bring in this summer is already well underway, with the Premier League suspension maybe giving clubs a little bit of extra time to work on possible summer transfers.

Mikel Arteta made his first two signings as Arsenal head coach back in January, with Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares joining on loan from Flemengo and Southampton respectively.

Another name who was heavily linked with a January move to the Emirates Stadium is Paris Saint Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa.

The Frenchman is available on a free transfer at the end of the season and is bound to gain a lot of interest from many clubs.

Since then, Arsenal have continued to monitor the player.

January interest

Arsenal were said to be accelerating a move for the full-back following the injuries to Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac.

According to The Sun, Arsenal changed their plans on completing a summer move for the PSG man on a free-transfer, and were planning on bringing him to the Emirates Stadium during the January transfer window.

The reports suggested that a deal would cost the Gunners in the region of £6 million, with the full-back also attracting the interest of Inter Milan and West Ham United.

Raul Sanllehi in talks

According to The Athletic, Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi has held talks with PSG over Kurzawa, with the Gunners seeing the prospect of signing the defender on a free as a 'no brainer'.

Milan interest

Arsenal face competition from both Inter and AC Milan for Kurzawa, according to ESPN.

The report claims that Arsenal is the left-back's preferred destination and is the main motivation behind the player changing agents.

Summer move 'agreed'

According to France Football Kurzawa has agreed a five-year-deal with Arsenal which will see him arrive at the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer in the summer.

The reports says that negotiations between the two parties are at an advanced stage with only his signing bonus still to be agreed.

The deal means that Kurzawa will stay at PSG for the remainder of his contract, before joining the Gunners before the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season.

It is also claimed that the full-back had an offer from Milan, but has chosen to join Arsenal.

"Edinson Cavani has asked to leave this month but we’ve refused Atletico Madrid bid," he said.

"Kurzawa? At the moment we’re not in talks with Arsenal”.

PSG named their price

Paris Saint-Germain were demanding a fee of at least £4.2 million for the full-back to move to Arsenal during the January transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

However, the report also states that the French club's asking price was rising to as much as £8.4 million, as PSG aimed to regain as much as the £20 million they spent on the defender when he signed from Monaco in 2015.

Kurzawa makes his choice

According to Sport, Arsenal have made an offer to Kurzawa ahead of the summer window.

However, it is claimed that the player has his heart set on a move to Barcelona.

Juventus, Chelsea, Milan, Inter and Napoli are all also said to have made contact with the player.
