Lawyer makes huge claim amid coronavirus suspension

Sports law expert Richard Cramer reckons the football season needs to start again at the planned April 3 date otherwise it could be cancelled.

Nottingham Forest's season is currently on hold because of the suspension imposed by the English Football League (EFL) as the country continues to battle the spread of the coronavirus.

COVID-19 has forced the Premier League and EFL to suspend three weekends' worth of games with play due to resume at the start of April.

Forest are gunning for promotion to the top flight after an absence of 20 years and are well-placed to finish in the play-offs after their automatic promotion push faltered.

Pundit uses John Bostock to send transfer warning

Radio pundit Simon Jordan has used Forest midfielder John Bostock to make a point about Birmingham City starlet Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham is one of English football's hottest prospects, with Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund rumoured to be interested in the 16-year-old.

However, Jordan has cited the story of Bostock as a reason why Bellingham should choose his next club carefully.

Bostock arrived at Forest in the summer on loan from Toulouse.

Forest's official Twitter account has joined the Connect Four party taking place online as clubs work out how to fill the void left by the suspension of matches.

The (EFL) announced on Friday that games have been postponed because of the coronavirus.

Forest, in fifth place in the Championship with nine games left to go this season, have seen their matches against Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town and Bristol City called off.

There are very real fears that the season might not resume until well after the April 3 date penciled in by the League, with the campaign potentially set to carry on into the summer.

What Joe Lolley has planned for suspension

Forest winger Joe Lolley has found the perfect way to pass the time while the coronavirus suspension takes hold.

The EFL decided to halt play until April 3 on Friday in a bid to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Forest's games against Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town and Bristol City have been called off while there are fears that the League might not restart until well after the beginning of April.

Sabri Lamouchi's side are in fifth place and gunning for promotion with only nine games left to play.
