A lawyer was robbed of his Rolex watch and wedding ring by two knife-wielding thugs after walking his dogs in a London park.

Sinnarajah Manoharan, 54, was targeted while returning from Alexandra Park in Harrow on Monday afternoon.

Mr Manoharan, who runs Lexus Legal in Watford, said: “One guy came over with a knife and said, ‘Give it to me’ and the other guy grabbed my watch.

“He then said, ‘Give me the ring as well’. It was scary. I thought they were going to stab me. The knife was about six inches.”

The 22-carat gold ring, inscribed with the couple’s initials, was worth £400 when purchased 32 years ago. The gold Rolex is also 22 carats and believed to be worth more than £4,000. Neither item was insured.

The victim’s daughter, Manojah Manoharan-Dinesh, 28, said: “He’s still in shock … you never expect it to happen to you.”

Police said they were called to a robbery in Ravenswood Crescent at about 5pm. There have been no arrests.
