Striker Lawrence Shankland admits he's flattered to be named as the focal point for Dundee United 's Premiership plan.
The runaway Championship leaders look certain to seal a top-flight return, thanks in no small part to the frontman's 29 goals.
Shankland's exploits have created a long list of admirers but Tannadice sporting director Tony Asghar last week insisted the club are not looking to cash in.
Instead, he wants the 24-year-old to lead Robbie Neilson 's side next term.
And Shankland hopes he can repay that faith by continuing to find the net.
He told The Courier : “It’s always nice to hear that. You want to be part of the plans at any football club.
“That’s what I aim towards every day by working hard.
“If I keep scoring goals, I’ll manage to keep myself in there.
“That’s the main thing for me and hopefully we can get this league won sooner rather than later.”
