Lawrence Bishnoi claims responsibility over shooting outside AP Dhillon's Vancouver home; issues warning over 'Old Money' collab with Salman Khan

A shooting incident outside the Vancouver residence of popular Punjabi singer and rapper AP Dhillon was reported on Monday evening. While official confirmation is still awaited, reports on various news portals allege that the Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang has claimed responsibility for the shooting.

In a report on India Today, sources have indicated that gunfire was heard near the singer's home in the Victoria Island area. A threatening message circulating on social media claims that the gang orchestrated shootings at two locations in Canada on the night of September 1—one on Victoria Island and the other in Woodbridge, Toronto.

The gang also issued a threat to AP Dhillon, warning him to "stay within his limits" or face a "dog's death." The threat reportedly references the singer's alleged connections with Salman Khan.

Dhillon recently released his new track "Old Money," featuring Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt in the music video. The track marks his first release under his new partnership with Republic Records and Universal Music Canada.

Canadian law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the authenticity of the viral post and the details surrounding the shootings. However, no official statement regarding the incident has been released by the police.

This reported firing outside the siner's house, is not the first incident linked to the gang operating in Canada. In November 2023, the gang claimed responsibility for a shooting at the Vancouver residence of singer Gippy Grewal, in the White Rock neighbourhood.

In April 2024, the Bishnoi gang was in the news in India when two men opened fire outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment residence in Bandra, Mumbai.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) revealed that Salman is at the top of a hit list compiled by jailed gangster Bishnoi, allegedly motivated by the actor's involvement in the 1998 blackbuck hunting case.
