MOHALI: During the 5-hour questioning of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, the alleged main conspirator in the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala, by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Friday, the gangster admitted that he had ordered the recce of the singer’s house, but he did not know who had executed the hit.
According to sources, Bishnoi confessed that he had planned to kill Sidhu Moose Wala to avenge the death of Vicky Middukhera and arranged for the recce to know his movements but he were the attackers.
Sources further added that Bishnoi told the SIT led by AIG Gurmeet Singh Chauhan along with Mansa SSP Gaurav Toora and AGTS DSP Bikram Singh Brar during interrogation that Middukhera was like his elder brother and his gang members also treated him like one. Sources quoted Bishnoi as saying that his gang members must have executed the plan to avenge Middukhera’s killing as “they were very sad over the murder”.
Sources in SIT said that Bishnoi also mentioned that the gang members were upset over Moose Wala allegedly helping his manager Shaganpreet Singh in escaping to Australia.
Bishnoi apparently made these revelations when he was shown CTV footage, photographs and videos of the day and place where the Punjab singer was killed. He was also shown the CCTV footage of vehicles following Moose Wala and photos and videos of the spot after the attack.
When the gangster was made to identify the vehicles used in the crime, he maintained that he didn’t know about the shooters who killed Moose Wala.
The SIT during the interrogation of Bishnoi and other arrested gangsters also learned that the weapons used in the attack had been buried on the borders of Punjab and Haryana, but police are yet to identify the spot.
One gangster brought from Bihar
Punjab police have brought another gangster from Bihar, identified as Mohammad Raza, who is in custody and is being interrogated for his links with Lawrence Bishnoi. Sources said that Rzaza will soon be brought to CIA Mohali to make him face-to-face with Bishnoi for further interrogation. Police are at present questioning Raza about his involvement and what he knew of Moose Wala killing. Raza is said to be an extortion money collector for Bishnoi.
Police raiding hideouts in Haryana-UP-Bihar for 4 shooters
Punjab cops are conducting raids in Haryana, UP and Bihar to arrest the four sharpshooters, Priyawant alias Fauji of Sonipat, Ankit of Sonipat, Mannu Khusa of Moga and Jagroop alias Roopa of Amritsar. They are going to bring three more dreaded gangsters from Pune, identified as shooter Mahakal, Santosh Jadhav, Suryavanshi by June 20 for their suspected involvement in the killing.
