Law clear for Wildcats' NBL road trip

Wildcats import Vic Law has accepted a fine and avoided a NBL suspension for a headbutt. (AAP)

NBL leading scorer Vic Law is available for the start of the Perth Wildcats' extended road trip after pleading guilty to headbutting.

In entering the early plea, Law has accepted a $1000 fine and avoided what would have been a one-game suspension.

He is now free to play in the away clash with the Adelaide 36ers on December 28.

Law's headbutting charge emanated from a heated exchange with Brisbane's Deng Deng last Friday night.

The pumped-up pair came together and Law leant into Deng, who drew the ire of the Perth crowd for his delayed reaction to the light contact.

Deng dropped to the floor, leaving Wildcats fans incensed after they saw replays on the big screen.

Both players received technical fouls.

Law was allowed to play in Sunday's game against Tasmania while the NBL game review panel assessed footage of the Deng incident.

The American forward dominated in a 101-83 win over the JackJumpers at RAC Arena, registering 32 points and 12 rebounds on his 26th birthday.

The result sent Perth (4-1) to the top of the ladder ahead of the trip to Adelaide.

The Wildcats and Bullets will meet again in Brisbane on January 1, before the Wildcats return to Adelaide six days later.

Law averages 24.2 points per game this season, marginally ahead of teammate Bryce Cotton (23.6) and South East Melbourne's Mitch Creek (23.25).
