Law and District AAC take Scottish Schools' Championships medals

Law and District Amateur Athletics Club put in some fine performances and took nine medals from the Scottish Schools’ Championships at Grangemouth.

The club won five gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

Gold was won by Leah Keisler in under-17 300m hurdles, Miya Waldron in under-14 javelin, Dawn Russell in under-15 javelin, Shannon Waldron in under-20 hammer, and Hayley Berry in under-17 discus.

Silver went to Hayley Berry in under-17 shot put and Oscar Logan in under-15 800m.

Bronze was won by Calvin Simpson in under-15 shot put and Vivian Duruh in under-17 discus.

At the Red Star Championships at Crown Point in Shettleston, Christopher Waugh won gold in under-11 javelin and bronze in 400m in what was his first ever competition.

Darran Muir won silver at the Brian Goodwin 10km at Cartha Queen’s Park, Pollok, in 33.08 minutes.
