Law and District enjoyed some fine performances at the West District Cross Country Championships in Balloch recently – with five members qualifying for a West of Scotland vest.
Club athletes put in their best performances looking for selection to represent the West of Scotland at the Inter-District Cross Country Championships in Irvine on January 15, 2022.
And congratulations go to John Frood, Jessica Inglis, Ryan Kellock and Oscar Logan, who will all be representing West of Scotland, while U23 Emily McNicol will be representing Scottish Students.
Runners battled through some typically wintry conditions for the event in Balloch on December 4, enduring cold winds, mud and ice to complete the course.
And the results on the day were as follows: U13 Girls (3.2km) – 18th Olivia Inglis; 32nd Hannah Jamieson
U13 boys (3.2km) – 7th John Frood; 49th Blair Beverley; 59th Paul Dwyer
U15 girls (4km) – 4th Jessica Inglis; 30th Alayna McCann
U15 boys (4km) – 8th Ryan Kellock; 36th Daniel Simpson

U17 women (5.5km) – 16th Fiona Currie; 21st Yuki Faulds; 29th Ayumi Faulds
U17 men (5.5km) – 21st Oscar Logan; 32nd Euan Anderson
U20 women (6.5km) – 3rd Jessica Robson
U20 men (6.5km) – 12th Matthew Gillon;
Senior Women (8.5km) – 80th Jennifer Beattie

Senior Men (8.5km) –41st Kieran Pugh; 50th Darran Muir; 228th Mark Milligan; 250th John O’Leary.
• Elsewhere, Law senior athlete Richard Beattie competed in the Valencia marathon, achieving a new personal best – and impressive – time of 3hrs 26minutes.
