LaVar Ball talks future of Big Baller Brand, downplays Foster scandal

The future of Big Baller Brand has been up in the air since Lonzo Ball filed a lawsuit against co-founder Alan Foster months ago. Ball and his manager Darren “DMo” Moore tossed Big Baller Brand shoes in the trash, the website shut down and Lonzo covered up his Big Baller Brand tattoo.

However, LaVar has remained adamant that the company was going nowhere, particularly in recent weeks. On a recent appearance of the Maybe I’m Crazy podcast, Ball both dispelled the rumors of the company’s demise and blamed the media for many of the rumors of such.

“Let me tell you what happened. This is what the media thought. The media said ‘Oh, Big Baller Brand is over.’ The only time Big Baller Brand is over is when I say it’s over. I can sell two shirts around the corner and still be in business. Just because somebody did something bad in my camp, I mean he took money. We didn’t defraud nobody, no customers or nothing like that. He just took money. That happens in every business.”

In natural LaVar fashion, an entire lack of accountability for himself results in him blaming others for his own downfalls. His lack of proper even fundamental background checking led to a convicted criminal being in charge of millions of dollars of his son’s money.

The unfortunate part is that Ball appears to have learned nothing from the debacle. His constant blaming of everyone else means that he likely hasn’t changed his ways and appears set to repeat his mistakes. Hopefully next time won’t include one of his sons mixed up in the mess.
