LaVar Ball says Lonzo Ball, LaMelo Ball won’t leave Big Baller Brand

A lot has been made about Lonzo Ball and LaMelo Ball’s future with Big Baller Brand in the aftermath of the Alan Foster scandal, which led to a fallout between Lonzo and his father, LaVar Ball. While Lonzo’s hasn’t been shy about his desire to listen to offers from other shoe brands, LaVar is confident his sons will stay with their family’s brand.

During an interview with TMZ, LaVar — the CEO and co-founder of Big Baller Brand — said that Lonzo and LaMelo aren’t going anywhere, despite reports that LaMelo is being actively scouted by other shoe brands, including Nike:

“If he potentially signs with Nike? Stop it, stop it.

“Big Baller Brand: I said it’s family brand, didn’t I? Okay, then that’s all I’ve got to say.

“Lonzo can think all day. He ain’t signing with nobody but Big Baller Brand. That’s what I said.”

In LaVar’s defense, Lonzo has outright said that he’d love to say with Big Baller Brand, but with the caveat that things have to be done his way. Otherwise, Lonzo has said he has no problem walking away, as hard as it would be for him.

Meanwhile, LaMelo hasn’t been sporting Big Baller Brand since he left the States to play in Australia with the Illawarra Hawks. He’s also expected to have a smaller role in the Ball family’s hit Facebook reality show, “Ball in the Family.”

With both LaMelo and Lonzo represented by CAA Sports, it will be interesting to see which route they decide to go, and whether or not the decision will be made independent of their father.
