LaVar Ball predicts Toronto Raptors to beat Golden State Warriors in Finals

As the man who speaks things into existence, it should come as no surprise that LaVar Ball may see yet another prediction come true. On a recent appearance on the podcast Maybe I’m Crazy ahead of Game 3, Ball was asked to give his prediction on who would win the Finals.

“Oh I already told them Toronto is going to win on the fact that, usually when you at the top, the only thing that can bring you down is if you’re not healthy. The Warriors are not healthy. When the Bulls finally won, when they beat the Lakers, that’s because somebody’s leg was hurt, I think a hamstring, and a couple other players were hurt, too.”

Ball actually hit the nail on the head for the series, although it was a fairly easy nail to hit. Injuries have caught up to the Warriors this series with Kevon Looney, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson all missing time. DeMarcus Cousins has only just returned from an extended injury of his own and has shown plenty of rust in the series.

In reality, it’s a testament to the depth and culture of the Warriors that they are only down 2-1 in the series despite all these injuries. But as the games quickly tick down, the Warriors are running out of time almost as quickly as they’re running out of bodies. And as Ball noted, injuries are the one thing that often brings most dynasties to an end.
