LaVar Ball explains why Lonzo Ball disassociated himself from Big Baller Brand

Now that most of the dust has settled on the Big Baller Brand drama, LaVar Ball is back in front of cameras trying to clear up all of the speculation around him and his son Lonzo Ball.

LaVar has insisted that the brand isn’t going anywhere, but that’s been hard to believe considering Lonzo deleted every mention of Big Baller Brand from his social media and even got his triple B tattoo removed last week. Meanwhile, Lonzo’s manager Darren Moore, a long time advocate of the brand, posted a video of him throwing his Big Baller Brand sneakers away.

Of course, LaVar had all of the answers when he spoke with TMZ this past weekend, saying that the whole situation has been one misunderstanding:

“We had a meeting before the story came out and everyone was in they feelings. What I mean by that is, we not really thinking. I told ‘em we shuttin’ down everything because I don’t want [Foster] to get nothin’. So, I said it was shut down and that’s why DMO and everybody heard what I said and they was goin’ on them things, saying ‘Okay, triple Bs is done.’

But then when you realize something I slept on, I’m like ‘Why am I shutting down my stuff? That’s my family brand, that ain’t got nothin’ to do with him?’ So, therefore it’s like if somebody hits you and you be like ‘Man, I’m gonna kill that dude’ cause you be in such a rage that you want to kill him, but then you think, ‘If I kill him,’ I’m going to jail for life, so you rethink that.

Now, Lonzo had to cover that triple B up anyway. You can’t play with no band-aid and you not even hurt. It feels weird playing like that, so you have to cover it anyway.”

While that all may be true, it still doesn’t explain why Lonzo hasn’t came out and addressed any of these rumors, nor does it explain why he chose to post a picture of mockup Nike ad featuring himself on his Instagram and changed his profile picture to a baby picture of him in a Nike jersey. LaVar’s latest comments clear up some of the rumors, but there’s still a lot that hasn’t been answered for yet. Let’s hope most of the remaining questions are answered sooner rather than later.
