LaVar Ball addressed fans with a sad speech about Big Baller Brand drama

The past 10 days couldn’t have gone worse for Big Baller Brand. The company parted ways with longtime LaVar Ball friend and business partner, Alan Foster, after allegedly being swindled out of $1.5 million while potentially losing both Lonzo and LaMelo Ball to Nike.

Conveniently, amid this turmoil, LaVar’s Big Baller Brand All-American Game was slated for Sunday in Las Vegas. Despite the speculation that the game would be canceled, event organizers told For The Win that the game was happening. And come Sunday, the game did indeed happen.

LaVar addressed the sparse crowd at the Orleans Arena and discussed the drama hitting his brand. The tone, though, was far more subdued than the LaVar the basketball world has grown used to the past two years. It was sad, really. LaVar insisted that everything was fine when everything so clearly is not fine.

When LaVar finally got the microphone working, he said, “The Big Baller show never stops. Like I said, the Big Baller Brand is a family brand.”

LaVar emphasized that the game and his brand were about family.

He mustered a “NEVA LOST” at the end of his speech, but given what we’ve seen the past week, Sunday’s game could be the last time Big Baller Brand hosts a basketball event.
