Adding to their list of top-notch concerts and events, VIJI Corp has just announced that they're bringing in American pop singer-songwriter and record producer Lauv to perform live in Bangkok next May 18 at Lat Phrao's Moonstar Studio.
Known for his intensely personal songwriting style and catchy mix of R&B, pop and EDM, the 24-year-old artist -- real name Ari Staprans Leff -- is best known for his singles I Like Me Better, The Other and A Different Way with DJ Snake. Lauv's singing is smooth but emotional and his sweet and heartfelt songs deal with the entire arc of a relationship from blissful start to heartbreaking end.
Though he might not yet be a household name, Lauv (pronounced like "love" but derived from the Latvian word "lauva" meaning "lion") has gained a massive following through online channels. He released his debut album I Met You When I Was 18 online earlier this year. It features the single There's No Way, which has reached over 38 million streams, and I Like Me Better, which has reached over a billion cumulative streams worldwide and made the Top 10 in America, Australia, Germany, New Zealand and elsewhere.
Having toured with Ed Sheeran last year, this will be the artist's third time performing in Asia. Known for his gracious and emotional live performances, Lauv's Bangkok show is bound to be a heartwarming treat.
