Lauryn Hill cancels, postpones multiple dates on 'Miseducation' tour

Lauryn Hill won't be late for more than half a dozen of the shows on her "Miseducation" 20th anniversary tour _ because she's canceled them entirely.

The 43-year-old musician, who has angered fans with her near constant tardiness on tour, won't hit stops in North Carolina, Florida, New Jersey and Virginia, Live Nation announced Thursday, citing "unforeseen production issues."

Several of the performances were axed, while others in Miami, Atlanta and Nashville were pushed until October.

Hill, who began her career as a member of The Fugees, released "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" in 1998 to critical acclaim, including a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 and five Grammy Awards, including best new artist and album of the year.

But Hill disappeared from the public eye shortly after and has laid low for almost 20 years, other than random appearances, including a 2001 taping of "MTV Unplugged." After being released from prison in 2013 for tax fraud, Hill booked several festivals and concerts, appearing at only some of them.
