Laurent Koscielny sends message to Aaron Ramsey and Petr Cech ahead of final Arsenal home game

Laurent Koscielny has vowed to help Arsenal win the Europa League and secure a top four finish to ensure that departing duo Aaron Ramsey and Petr Cech have the perfect end to their careers in north London.

Ramsey will leave the club on a free transfer to Juventus in July but has already played his last game for Arsenal after suffering a season-ending hamstring injury in the Europa League quarter-final, second leg win over Napoli.

Cech is eyeing the final of that competition for a farewell of his own. The 36-year-old is retiring at the end of the season and has, in all likelihood, played his final home game for the club, with Bernd Leno the preferred goalkeeper in Premier League games.

Arsenal will give Cech and Welbeck a guard of honour after this afternoon's home game against Brighton, in addition to paying tribute to their WSL-winning women's and the U18s, who have won the Premier League South and will face Derby in the overall final next week.

Club captain Koscielny is desperate to ensure that both Ramsey and Cech depart the club clutching silverware, even if the latter will be unable to play a part in the Europa League Final.

"We will soon say goodbye to Petr and Aaron," Koscielny wrote in his programme notes. "Petr is retiring after an incredible career where he won many trophies and beat many record.

"We want to offer him the Europa League trophy as a thank you and a goodbye. He is such a great man as well as a great player.

"We will miss him massively as we will miss Aaron too. After 11 years here, I'm sad to see him go but, like Petr, we wish him all the best in his new adventure.

"Aaron arrived here as a child and will leave as a man, a father of three who has been a wonderful servant to his club, always giving his all and winning trophies.

"Let's make sure that for Petr, Aaron and everyone else at the club, we finish the season in the best way possible, with a European trophy and a top four finish."
