Laurent Koscielny has responded to Ian Wright's comments about his Arsenal exit.
The defender spent nine years in North London where he established himself as a real fans' favourite before being named as club captain.
However his time at the Emirates Stadium ended on a sour note when the Frenchman forced an exit from the club which saw him move to Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
Part of the controversy was his unveiling video with the French club in which he removed an Arsenal shirt to reveal a Bordeaux jersey, a gesture which certainly riled Arsenal supporters.
Ian Wright was one of the more high profile members of the Arsenal community to criticise the defender, tweeting at the time: "This hurts.
"The level of disrespect. You should be ashamed for the way you've left the club after nine years!" he said at the time.
"Got what you wanted and still trying to have a dig. Hope it's worth it in the long run."
But speaking to L'Equipe , Koscielny issued a short response.
He said: "I've always been upstanding, respectful and loyal.
"I always gave my maximum. I spoke with the coach, who was understanding. And as for the rest..."
