Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has claimed that he does not know how to contact his old co-stars from the classic Changing Rooms series.
The iconic interior designer is back for more home makeovers on the classic BBC series which returns on Channel 4 tonight with new presenter Anna Richardson.
However, Laurence confirmed that he did not speak with his co-stars from the classic Changing Rooms run such as Carol Smilie or Linda Barker about the show’s return.
Speaking to The Mirror and other UK press, Laurence answered when asked if he had spoken with them: “No. I don’t even know how to get hold of them. I’ve seen Linda a few times as obviously we’re in the same kind of world."
He added: “As far as I was concerned we made that show then 25 years ago and this is kind of a new incarnation of it."

“I think 4 are right," he opined, "if you bring everyone back it’s like Jurassic Park 38. There has to be a reinvention.”
Laurence confirmed that we need “new blood” on these types of shows.
Naked Attraction’s Anna Richardson presents the new series and we can also expect to see designers Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead and carpenter Tibby Singh.
Laurence also discussed his hopes for further instalments of the Channel 4 reboot with special episodes already in mind.

He revealed: "I would love to. I know we’re talking about it. I know we’re talking about specials.
“One of the things I used to really enjoy with Changing Rooms was Christmas specials. They’re always a huge laugh.
“Now I’ve done it, having been so vociferous about turning it down, since we’ve opened that tomb, let’s get on with it.”

The interior designer also disclosed that he would be keen to make the most of his iconic trouser wear too.
Laurence cheekily admitted: “I have made a significant investment in my leather trousers, so I would like to be able to get a little bit more wear out of them.”
When discussing the reaction to the show’s return, Laurence also made clear that celebs are hoping to get on the series.
Laurence revealed potential celebrity appearances, claiming that famous faces are "already queuing up".
He claimed: " I’ve had little kind of questions from people like Rylan [Clark-Neal].
‘I remember being absolutely squashed into a corner by Jonathan Ross and his wife who said: ‘Oh, we’d love to do it, please, what can we do? Who can we swap with?’"
Laurence noted: “So I’m sure the minute the show goes out, we’re going to have everybody wanting to get going with it.”
*Changing Rooms begins tonight at 8pm on Channel 4 and All 4.
