Laurence Fox has been charged over allegations he encouraged people to vandalise ULEZ cameras in London, according to a report.
The former actor and Reclaim Party leader will appear in court next week charged with intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence, under the Serious Crime Act.
According to the Daily Mail, the charge is understood to pertain to claims he used his social media account to encourage people to damage Ultra Low Emission Zone cameras.
The scheme was launched by Mayor Sadiq Khan in 2019 to improve air quality and reduce emissions in the capital.
Cameras are used to record drivers' number plates, which then get checked against a database, to see if the vehicles are ULEZ compliant.
In August 2023, ULEZ was expanded to cover all 32 boroughs to tackle congestion and air pollution-related health issues.

Fox, 46, who ran for Mayor in 2021, is alleged to have made the comments online between September and October 2023.
He has been told to attend Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, May 16, the Metropolitan Police have said in a statement.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Laurence Fox, 46 (26.05.1978), of Peldon, Essex, will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 16, charged with intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence.
“The charge relates to posts made on a social media site between September and October 2023.”
Criminal damage carries a penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment depending on the value of the damage, but may be greater if the offence is found to be aggravated.
The Standard has contacted Reclaim, the party set up by Fox, to seek comment by him.
