Lauren Sánchez’s wedding dress missing after Bezos’s star-studded $20m nuptials

One of the 27 designer dresses worn by Lauren Sanchez during her extravagant wedding to Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos has mysteriously vanished, according to reports.

The 55-year-old former journalist tied the knot with Bezos, 60, on Friday in Venice in a lavish ceremony said to have cost £15 million and attended by a host of A-list guests.

While Sanchez dazzled in a series of custom outfits throughout the weekend, it’s now been reported that one of the gowns has gone missing. Initial claims in the Italian press suggested it may have been stolen by an “elegantly dressed party crasher,” but this has not been confirmed and no police reports have been filed.

It’s not known which of the 27 gowns is unaccounted for, but the missing dress is not believed to be the main wedding dress — a high-neck, lace Dolce & Gabbana gown worn for the ceremony itself.

The bride shared a photograph of the gown, featuring floral lace sleeves, a long train and button detailing, shortly after the ceremony. “I do,” she captioned the image, along with the wedding date.

Sanchez also posed in the dress during a pre-wedding photoshoot with Vogue, saying the fitting made her feel like a princess. “It was more powerful than I thought,” she told the magazine.

She added that Bezos had been eager to see the dress before the wedding, but she resisted: “I almost gave in. But I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can’t wait to see his face.”

An hour later, she posted a second set of behind-the-scenes shots by photographer Nicolas Geradin, showing off the dramatic silhouette of the gown in an opulent Venetian setting.
