Lauren Sánchez, 56, says she would have another baby ‘tomorrow’ after marrying Jeff Bezos, 62

Lauren Sánchez has baby fever, insisting that she would have another child with her billionaire husband, Jeff Bezos, if she could.

The pair, who tied the knot last June, share a blended family of seven children from previous relationships. Sánchez, 56, has three children: son Nikko, 25, with ex-boyfriend and former NFL player Tony Gonzalez, and son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 18, with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. Bezos, 62, has three sons and a daughter with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, to whom he was married from 1993 to 2009.

Still, in a new interview with The New York Times, Sánchez declared that she would welcome another baby “tomorrow” with Bezos. Asked if they were considering it, she simply repeated: “I would have a baby tomorrow.”

A spokesperson for Sánchez later told the outlet that she was not having a baby.

Bezos has remained private about his children, while Sánchez has openly gushed about hers.

Her eldest, Nikko, has accompanied his father many times to movie premiere red carpets, and even walked his first runway show for Dolce & Gabbana in 2024.

“My heart is overflowing with pride for this incredible young man. I just want you to know how immensely proud I am of you for achieving this milestone,” Sánchez wrote on Instagram at the time. “This is just the beginning, Nikko, and I hope you continue chasing your dreams with relentless originality. I love you so much.”

More recently, during an appearance on the Today show to promote her latest children’s book, The Fly Who Flew Under the Sea, Sánchez recalled her youngest son, Evan’s, emotional wedding speech.

One of my kids, who is dyslexic — and he lets me talk about it — went up there and talked about a moment that was extremely important to him and I had no idea what he was going to say,” the journalist and author said.

“He was in the fourth grade, and not writing well, and he wrote this sentence that says, ‘I can do this,’” she recounted, holding back tears. “And it was his first sentence, and that was really late to be writing your first sentence.”

Sánchez said that she printed out a poster-sized image of his written sentence and has it hanging in her kitchen.

“Anyway, he talked about how special that moment was for him,” she said. “That was literally the most meaningful and impactful moment at my wedding — besides getting married!”

Sánchez and Bezos began dating in 2019. The Amazon founder proposed in 2023, and they wed in Venice in June 2025.

“Their families are very close,” an insider told People in 2023. “They’ve been together four years now, so their families are really blended at this point.”
