Lauren says: Colour to die for but, sadly, not much comes out with each application, so lots of dipping.

Lauren says: Great colour and lovely ­formula that doesn’t leave lashes stiff or flaky. Lasts all day but comes off easily with facial wipes. Good for a “wilder” evening look. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Lauren says: Waterproof mascara can be a pain to remove but this was great and left my lashes intact. Impressive, rare shade, too. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Urban Decay Big Fatty in Purple Haze £8.50, Boots, Debenhams, House of ­Fraser.
Lauren says: Really liked the shape of the wand – makes it easy to coat each lash evenly to give longer length. Lovely colour but formula did make lashes a little heavy and dusty. Comes off well. ★ ★ ★

Technic Glitter Lashes Glitter Mascara in Gold £1.99, lovethymakeup.com.
The formula was watery and difficult to remove. Looks better over black mascara but I don’t think I’ll be trying it again. ★
