Lauren Graham’s Gallery Wall Shows the Subtle Design Tricks That Make Every Frame, Object, and Space Feel Effortlessly Curated

Lauren Graham.

Certain design strategies have an undeniably enduring appeal, and gallery walls are high up on this list. The customization options are endless, with decorated walls instantly brightening any space, from the living room to the home office.

Lauren Graham is on board with the ever-popular trend, having recently shared a snap of her home's gallery wall. Her space features a mix of framed photos and paintings of different sizes and finishes, all of which complement her sculptural chandelier beautifully.

She also makes use of objects like a ceramic plate and a horseshoe to add dimension and visual intrigue to the area, which designers say is one of the most effective ways to keep a gallery wall interesting.

According to design insiders, incorporating three-dimensional objects and trinkets into your gallery wall is one of the best ways to make it feel unique, as well as dynamic.

'Don’t limit your gallery wall to just flat images,' designer Nina Lichtenstein suggests. 'Bring in sculptural pieces like metal decor, woven baskets, or ceramic wall hangings to add texture. Items with depth bring a tactile element, making the wall feel dynamic. Hanging floating shelves with small, curated objects can also make the wall pop with personality.'

Try mixing and matching different frames as well; this wood frame from Magnolia and this brass frame from Walmart are both excellent picks, though personalization is key here.

'Gallery walls are as timeless as they are adaptable,' Nina continues. 'Their ability to evolve with changing interior design trends, whether through new art additions or seasonal updates, ensures they remain relevant in both traditional and contemporary homes. With the right combination of personal treasures, art, and unexpected elements like mirrors or textural pieces, your gallery wall becomes a deeply individual, ever-evolving reflection of your style.'
