Devastated Lauren Goodger has revealed that Charles Drury confirmed they had split while their daughter was in hospital.
The TV star told fans on Instagram that four-month-old Larose was battling a "severe illness", hailing the last two days as "the hardest" in her life.
The 35-year-old said: "She caught some sort of virus or infection ... It's been the hardest two days of my life. Me and @charlesdrury1 have been with her, swapping to be with her.
"So hard to watch your daughter be in hospital with tubes, drips, canula, especially being held down. It has broken my heart."
But just hours after Lauren said little Larose was "on the mend", Charles took to Instagram to say they had split up.
"Charles said: "Only going to post this once. Me and Lauren have decided to go our separate ways. Things must remain civil for the sake of our daughter.
"Lauren is a great mum so when it comes to Larose we both have her best interests at heart so she will still see us both."
Furious that Charles was discussing their private life, Lauren responded on Instagram: "I apologise for Charlie talking about our relationship status right now as our daughter is very ill and this is the least of my worries.
"I do not wish to comment on the situation at this time as there is much more to it but my priority is getting my daughter better. My baby girl is the most important thing to me right now, shame I can't say that about others."
The couple had Larose in July this year, prompting Lauren to speak openly about her body and pregnancy.
She told Closer: "I'm a new mum, I'm healing and my body has changed.
"I think the trolls need to get a life. No one should be criticising a new mum on her appearance.
"At one point I didn't even shower for three days. My priority isn't me anymore, it's her, so that means I don't have time to put in as much effort."
She was asked by a fan during an Instagram Q&A: "How has your relationship changed since having a baby?"
Lauren replied: "Yes we became a family so it's not just us anymore it's all about her, I can get so wrapped up in being a mum it's important to remember the relationship also."
