Lauren Goodger lost 3st as she struggled with grief over baby daughter's death

Lauren Goodger has bravely opened up about her struggle with grief following the death of her baby daughter, which led to her losing 3st after being unable to eat over the grief.

The former TOWIE star's second daughter Lorena died shortly after she was born last year after the umbilical was knotted around her neck.

Lauren, 36, has now explained that her grief led her to lose three stone, but she has since regained a stone as she is being "more healthy" and "eating again".

She said that she is now in a better place mentally after going through a time when she didn't even want to leave the house.

Speaking to New! magazine, Lauren said: "I lost nearly three stone after I lost Lorena because of the stress. I didn't eat. I'm now eating again and I've put a stone back on because I'm being more healthy.

"I stayed indoors and I didn't go out, and now I feel I'm in a better place mentally. This year is about focusing on me and getting back on track."

Lauren is now exercising with a personal trainer and has said while she isn't on a diet, she is being more mindful about her food choices.

Lorena's death was just one of a number of personal issues for the former The Only Way Is Essex star in 2022, with ex-boyfriend Jake McLean tragically dying in a car crash after losing control of the vehicle in Turkey.

Lauren also split with ex Charles Drury - father of Larose and Lorena - shortly after the death of their second child.

The reality star went on to speak about how her daughter Larose is her "inspiration".

She said: "She's the best. She's the cheekiest little girl you will come across. She's already an intelligent and independent woman. She makes me so very proud every single day. She's unbelievable. She's my rock.

"After everything I went through, Larose is definitely my inspiration. She inspires me and she's kept me going through the hardest times. Without her, I wouldn't survive."
