Lauren Goodger 'in talks to make return to TOWIE' six years after leaving show

Lauren Goodger is reportedly in talks to make a big return to The Only Way Is Essex.

The reality star departed the series six years ago and it is understood that show bosses have approached her for a possible return.

After leaving the show, she took part in the eighth series of Dancing On Ice but was eliminated in week two.

A year later, in 2014, she signed up for Celebrity Big Brother and was evicted on day 24.

She also appeared in 2017's In Therapy and in 2019's series of Celebs Go Dating.

But now, it is said that TOWIE are hoping to bring her back to 'spice things up'.

"TOWIE are always in talks with former cast mates with a view to bringing them back and Lauren is top of their wish list," an insider explained.

"She's had chats with producers and while she hasn't signed on the dotted line yet, the door is definitely wide open for her to come back."

They added to The Sun : "Lauren would be the big star of the show if she was to return, and Amy Childs' comeback proved a huge hit with viewers, so watch this space."

Lauren had a difficult year in 2022 after her second daughter Lorena tragically died shortly after she was born.

The same month her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean also tragically died in a car crash after losing control of the vehicle in Turkey.

She also has daughter Larose with former boyfriend Charles Drury.

After a series of tragedies, she revealed to OK! magazine in November that she is in a "healthier place".

"I’m still going through such a horrendous time of my life, but I’m slowly getting there," she explained.

"After everything that happened, I stopped eating completely. It wasn’t on purpose – I just physically didn’t feel hungry because of the grief and anxiety. Now I’m in a healthier place because I can eat again."

Lauren said she was "healing" and is "always on the go" because of her active daughter Larose, one.

Mum Lauren added how she lost weight after the death of her second daughter and said: "It was because I felt sick all of the time. It was a horrible feeling of sadness because I just wasn’t hungry. Now, I’m healthier – I’m eating and I’m not eating s**t."
